Nicholas was a member of one of the Frosh Distance Medley teams running at the Canyon Cowboys Invitational. He ran the 1600m (1 mile) part of the Medley. He was the last runner on the team and completed his run in 5min 35 secs. It was a little different than running individually; there is the transfer of the baton which was not the best I have seen and there is the fact that you are running for a team which adds a little more pressure to do well. Nicholas said it was difficult to pace himself and judge how fast he was going because there was no runner immediately in front of him or behind. He ended up with a time pretty close to the one from Thursday, when he ran the 1600m individually. His Coaches were pretty happy with his effort. And I think he had fun, which is the most important thing.
