After two days of rain on and off, yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day. It was crisp and sunny with only a few clouds in the sky. Right away, Allan and myself decided it was a good day to go for a hike. But the kids had a different idea; the boys went outside to play with their friend Jacob... shooting hoops, playing with their Nerf Guns and biking were among the activities they preferred over hiking. Christina was also reluctant to go for a hike... She wanted to go rollerblading. So Allan and I settled for a walk around the neighborhood. We only took Rocky with us this time since Catie has been having some difficulties keeping up during our regular morning walk lately. A few nights ago, she even had difficulties going up the stairs for bedtime. Her old legs are not what they used to be... She is still a very happy dog. But Allan and I know that sooner or later, she won't be so happy and won't be able to keep up with our busy family! Hopefully, we still have a few good months ahead of us!
