17. California Cuties

Our family loves these little oranges; the kids call them "baby oranges". I remember them as "Christmas Oranges" because in Montreal, they were only available from Mid-November into January. I remember these little oranges being imported from Morocco and they were very popular in my home town. Their real name is Clementines or seedless mandarins. In the United States, they were first grown in Florida but in the year 2000, Sun Pacific and Paramount Citrus Association introduced the "Cuties". They are available from November to April, are very sweet, easy to peel and most importantly, seedless. Because of these reasons, it is the perfect kid - friendly snack!
